The inspiration for this wall hanging is developed from 'mandalas', geometric patterns within circles. These patterns are used in many religions as a focus for contemplation and meditation. Designed and stitched over Easter 2008, Mandala 2 reflects thoughts of new life, growth and change taking place within a protected space.

Mandala 2 is machine embroidered with fabric applied in the central panel. The 'egg' motif is repeated in the outer fabric strips with stitching filling all the spaces. The texture of the fabric is created by covering it in stitching.

85.5cm wide x 112cm long. Pale pink backing with no stitching. No wadding. 5 rings attached at the back for hanging or can be removed for a throw or lap quilt.
